🐍 Wall rug – “The Serpent & the Earth”: a textile work about Good and Evil
This circular wall rug is a contemporary textile creation with a strong symbolic significance. Entirely hand-tufted in my workshop, it represents an undulating serpent encircling the planet Earth , in a powerful and evocative graphic composition.
🌍 Encircled by the sinuous silhouette of the serpent, the Earth appears compressed, twisted, almost imprisoned. Through this representation, the work offers a universal reflection: evil – here embodied by the serpent – surrounds our world, influences it, shapes it in its image .
🐍 This circular motif refers to ancient myths and universal archetypes – from the tempting serpent to the Ouroboros – while carrying a resolutely contemporary message: where is the line between good and evil, between protection and destruction, between control and freedom?
